high school summer internship APPLICATION
In light of the promising future of Canada's commitments to and leadership in global humanitarianism, the CCR2P is pleased to announce the launch of a summer internship program for High School students. Students in this selective program will receive training on the Responsibility to Protect, Research methods, and Advocacy techniques. Additionally, students will work with undergraduate interns and officers of the CCR2P to:
- Assist with research initiatives
- Expand the CCR2P's network of Youth Ambassadors and Chapters
- Design promotional and educational resources about R2P and relevant situations
Any High School student who will be entering grades 9-12 with a proven record of academic excellence and extracurricular involvement;
A demonstrated passion and interest for the study and advocacy of Human rights;
Able to commit to July to September 2017 (inclusive) and be able to attend (in person or through Skype) monthly meetings at the University of Toronto's St.George campus;
Previous involvement in Human Rights-oriented organizations and programs will be an asset.
