Sonida is in her Third year at the University of Toronto pursuing a major in International Relations and minors in German and Spanish. Apart from the languages she studies at UofT, she is fluent in Albanian and Greek. Her interest in IR and specifically in the R2P principle is focused on the role of global agents in the protection of human rights during crises. This stems from her having been raised in Albania during a time of social unrest, when the country was transitioning from a dictatorship to a democracy, and also from her having witnessed the humanitarian crisis caused by the Kosovo war at a young age. In addition to her internship with CCR2P, Sonida is employed at a law firm and her work includes helping refugees around the world.
