I am a Grade 11 student from Fort Frances, a small town in Northwestern Ontario. My interests range from music to art to nature to science, all of which have developed since a very young age! I love discovery and adventure, and jump at the chance to learn and experience something new! At the age of ten, I was diagnosed with Type One Diabetes, which sparked my interest in medicine, healing, and helping. Since then, I have been inspired and intrigued by people, organizations, programs, and initiatives that work to guarantee human rights across the world. In school, I was inspired while learning about Louise Arbour; her role of advocate in an international setting as a Canadian woman was truly inspirational. As a future physician, I hope to join these people and help with their mission, as well as continue to be an advocate for human rights and equality.
