CCR2P Summer Internship Position
The Canadian Centre for Responsibility to Protect (CCR2P) is currently accepting applications for summer internship in 2014 (from June 1st to August 31st).
This internship position is a non-paid and part-time position for any qualified candidate interested in developing experience in the key advocacy and research efforts of the CCR2P. The selected intern will work closely with the CCR2P’s Board of Directors for various administrative and logistical aspects of the Centre, as well as an outreach effort to the student population and the development of the R2P Scholars Network program. The selected intern will be offered a comprehensive training session, a certificate of recognition, and a fully-air conditioned office space on the University of Toronto campus (St.George downtown).
Required time commitment per week is about 15-20 hours with flexible working hours depending on the intern’s summer schedule. This internship position is a great way to get involved with the CCR2P and offers excellent networking opportunities within the broader R2P community. Upon successful completion, the intern will be invited to continue working at the CCR2P in the 2014-2015 school year.
Qualifications: Any senior undergraduate student or a graduate student enrolled at the University of Toronto who will be based in the city of Toronto over the summer period (June 1st – Aug 31st inclusive) will be eligible. Preference will be given to a student with a passion for R2P advocacy and a prior knowledge of the R2P scholarship, as well as the works of the CCR2P. Candidates with fluency in French (or other languages) will be given preferential treatment.
